Sanilac Co. Michigan
I've had the same problem with a Gleaner 300 flex head. I don't think it's so much a problem with the dividers as it is with the skid plate under the wobble box/knife head. Whatever it runs over is gone for good! The crop the dividers knock over can usually be picked up on the return pass. I think I'd rather have the short dividers in soys so they don't knock over so much crop when the combine drifts side to side. I think the only way to fix the problem is to have row widths greater than the width of the divider/skid plate. I also sow in narrow rows and have learned to "grin and bear it".
