NE Iowa | Hands down on Ag Leader here. Ag Leader will be more accurate and will seamlessly read into your SMS software. I'm not sure on the price for the deere equipment, but to me there is no reason to go cheap when it comes to getting quality yield data, even if Ag Leader is a little more (which I doubt) it will be money well spent. The best thing about the Ag Leader system since you already plant with it is you will have variety tracking. Harvesting information in the command center would be non-functioning, you would just use it to adjust combine settings. You'll appreciate looking at the insight screen for yield/moisture information vs. the command center anyway (in my opinion)
As GPS85 said you would need to put ag leader components on the machine but it's not that big of a job. | |
