Android would not require a software package like iTunes, but you don't have the security that iTunes provides as far as a total system backup if you ever lose your iPad or destroy it somehow.
I have to add that this is incorrect,androids and maybe specifically my incredible have a backup system. I destroyed my first one (dropped down a well) and after i got the new one and signed up for my first gmail acount,everything was downloaded to my new phone to the point my background picture was the same as the old one. |
