Ed - will the freeze/thaw cycles have similar effect on fiber in time or is it more resistant to this? We have the same issue here on the frozen tundra - but I have heard absolutely nothing in terms of putting fiber in anywhere around here. I'm not too far off of an interstate highway and know they ran a large fiber cable along that a few years ago, running between Chicago and Minneapolis, but nothing local that I know of.
