Most likely they're slow a much as anything because there's too much stuff been installed and running in the background, compounded by barely adequate installed RAM.
For an ageing laptop it's probably better to consider replacement in all honestty.
A lot more inside will be struggling to cope with modern demands, for example older machines may not be able to deal with HD video which is now becoming the norm on youtube and such. | |
