Ah, I see. Sounds like roatdawn hit the nail on the head - the accelerometer is too sensitive. Contact Apple for a replacement if it is less than a year old. There is a setting to turn off the shake-to-shuffle for the iPod app, but not shake to undo. I can see where this would get annoying...
