Either follow PatCMO's suggestion or figure out what job will take the most power, the smallest implement available for the job, and figure out tractor size from there. An older tractor would suit you well. There are older ones available that won't cost much relative to a newer one. A less popular brand for the area will help hold cost down if it is in good shape.
