| I'm running a FM 750 w/ Ravens flow meter. I had to change the flowmeter & enter the cal # on the meter (700) which seems to be a pretty std cal #. My target rate is 10gpa & actual rate is usally right around 9.8 gpa when figuring gals used over the actual acres. Maybe I'm being anal but I'd like to fine tune that a little if possible.
I know that the 750 has a calibration mode that will figure the new cal # but takes two people, one to turn the boom on & off at the right time & someone to collect the sample from the nozzle. Plus would require water in the tank. I'm generally by myself when spraying & would like to be able to do several calibrations based on actual usage over several fields.
If I'm thinking right, to increase volume the cal# needs to be increased. Anyone know how much to increase the cal# based on percentage of error? In my case, I'm running a 2% error. Would I increase the cal# by 2% (714) or is that too great of an increase?
TIA,
boog
