Subject: Salvaging wheat crop before flood water gets it [pictures]

East Central Arkansas

This field of wheat is right next to our farm headquarters and the flood water is fast approaching us. We are in the process of evacuating from our headquarters with everything that we can get moved and my neigbor is trying to salvage his wheat crop. Water is coming faster than we have ever seen it before. Realy feel like we should still be moving even at night but you can only go so long at a full run. Besides we are seeing at least 10 times the traffic as normal on Hwy 1 because of interstate 40 being shut down. We have two bridges to cross to get back to higher ground where we live at Turner and both bridges have curves on either side that you can't see around and they are narrow bridges. Even a naked tractor with dual wheels needs a escort and most of the traffic pays very little attention to that even.
