| Dave - your experience with the camera is exactly the same as what I was having with my Droid 1. I found it extremely annoying - to the point that I seldom used the camera. I downloaded "Fast Camera" which helped some. Once the camera was initialized, it would snap pics as fast as you could touch the screen. They were lower resolution and not as focused, but considerably faster than the stock camera app.
As for battery life - I didn't have too much trouble with my Droid, but I had it docked for 8 hrs every week day and through the night. On weekends, it wasn't docked but I still had no trouble making it through the day. I always left wifi and GPS on, but never used Bluetooth. My brother spent a lot of talk time every day with his Droid. He had to buy an extended battery to get him through the day and most days, even that was barely enough. He is using an iPhone now and has had no battery issues - but this is typically a slower time of the year for him. | |
