| I think the D2 and the R2D2 are the same phone except for the Star Wars theme.
I have the X and am happy with it. No physical keyboard took some getting use to, but I like the Swype keyboard for one handed typing. It has a noise canceling mic, so talking in a loud environment isn't a problem. I've gone up to 40 hours between charges, but normally charge every night with plenty of juice left. Signal strength is great and I haven't had issues with dropped calls.
I don't have any experience with HTC phones, but I would steer clear of the Samsungs. They seem to have the most signal issues.
