Thanks for the thoughts. I can see what you mean with an updated radio vs. a modulator. Unfortunately I would like to be able to use the ipod (actually the girlfriends) in several vehicles. For example we are taking my parent's pickup this weekend, sometimes its my car and other times hers.

Thanks for stirring up some additional ideas!
