Le Sueur VIA St.Thomas | Hi KB,
Is this by chance an HP printer? I have battled the same problems with my networked HP printers at work. I have done a bit of research and a fair amount of people have this problem; Microsoft and HP blame each other.
The quick answer/workaround as John suggested is to reset the print spooler. A quicker method than John's is to go to 'Start' 'Run' and type 'net stop spooler' in the command line. Then go back and type 'net start spooler' This stops and restarts the spooler service.
While that has always worked for me, it not a permanent solution. The best solution I have found is to delete the printer, remove it from 'add/remove programs', delete that printer driver and reinstall the software. You may even search the OE webstie and install the newest stuff.
good luck -jim | |
