Thank you. Yes, that procedure shows the drive needs to be "initialized"; I canceled out of the Wizard offering to initialize the HD. Would it be better to use the cd which came with the HD for that, as Omar suggested just below? What issues will I face with a 65 bit processor? Will my older programs run on the machine and will printing be an issue or will I need special drivers and modern printers? I see that the motherboard has a SATA/Raid connector - I'm not up to speed on the what is available and what is recommended. I will need a lot of help from the great guys here on NAT in getting this to run smoothly. I have no special high powered demands from the computer, I just want to run a few basic programs without down time and hang ups. Thanks all for the help. |
