Subject: Dumb question but.......

.........what would stop a person from not inheriting and instead purchase the said farm from the estate for "1 dollar and consideration" ?

Or does that trick not work anymore? Kept people from knowing anything about what you paid for anything and they can have the 55 cents from that 1 dollar for inheritance tax.
