Subject: Re: trimble vs deere rtk

Lorenzo, tx
We use deere an 8130 and 8100. Two fmds nav 2s? And 252 recievers. Our issue is not bein able to switch them easily from tractor to tractor and we were told that a fmd can control planter and rate controller. It does but they failed to mention it costs 4300 that chapped us. another thing that we dont like is there isnt a easy solution to manage data cards no simple cheap computer program to tke care of all that like apex. they both have there pros and cons. deere has already come out with a new reciever and will have anew display in may. our trimble dealer who runs our tower network is gonaa charge extra for glonass and deere is saying it wont cost us any more than normal rtk tower fees. and if our trimble dealer switches it may make our fmds obsolete
