Saronville NE | I wont even bale hay for guys anymore unless its raked togther. Save alot of time, trips, and nicer bales. We usually rake things in the morning and bale at night but sometimes we bale right behind the rake, we put 2 togther on all 4 cuttings, on first cutting with a 568 baler w net we were getting bout 55 bales an hour. I like to keep the baler full. Ive got the rake set so no need to weave either the windrows ar the same size as the pickup and just drive can get alot done in a short amount of time. I always think of it this way with 2 togther its like you are baling half the size of the field so instead of 40 acres you are baling 20 because of less trips. I think we have gotten better hay from rakin 2 also, gets just enuff air to the tuff spots that dont get them tuff spots in the bale. You will want a 14 wheel rake with 16 ft head. | |
