we found one thing interesting about the boots from shoup. our shanks on the drill were worn out so we drilled them out to 3/8? i think. anyways, we had to then drill out the boots to accept the larger bolt and found the boots to be REALLY hard. we broke several high end drill bits before we gave up and sent them to a machine shop where they had to use a taper/reamer bit to enlarge the holes and they charged us for two of the reamers ($150) because they wore two out on about 48 boots! other than that, the boots were really tough and wore really well.
