| We had a combine broke into and a JD 2600 stolen. We do insure our GPS equipment and it was a good thing. When our 2600 was stolen, JD could not (or would not) transfer the activations that we owned on the stolen screen to a new screen. Therefore, we (actually, the insurance co) were not just out the $5k for a new screen, it was $5000 for screen + $6500 for SF2 + any other options we had paid for (Swath control pro, Rowsense, etc). This is how our deal went, anyway....
I don't really know what the insurance cost is. I think we only see a rolled up number for insuring everything. I'm not real sure the cost would play much into the decision at this point. | |
