Subject: RE: Jim what field of engineering nt

I am a PE in mechanical engineering but have been working in ag equipment engineering most of my career. Our oldest daughter is a family practice MD and really got me into preventive medicine thinking. And it seems to work for cattle so far. Jim at Dawn

edit: My MD daughter also tells me she sees in her practice that some antibiotics are not working as well, even on children, as they did a few years ago. She urges me to not use antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. She is not some radical but a practicing physician commenting on what she sees. From what I see in my limited cattle experience so far is that some preventive measures seem to reduce the need for antibiotics.

This is a growing problem that everyone in livestock needs to be concerned about.
