Sounds interesting. I'd like to know how Maryland got that little stretch going to the west or why Oklahoma has their panhandle (maybe lots of oil in those 2 counties?). Just looking on a map, CO and WY are pretty close to perfect squares and KS is almost a perfect rectangle except where it does cut off in the corner following the MO river.
