I haven't read all the above responses but I will give my advice. Yes I think it could be profitable. But cull cows, imo, death loss is higher, cases of hardware and other problems. Generally speaking the best time to buy,(my area) would be about oct, nov, dec, jan,. Best time to sell it summer grilling time, (memorial day, 4th of july, and labor day), dont wait to sell them on labor day. The high at our salebarn was on July 11th on cull cows. High was 70.50 on a limo cow that was gant. Still 66.75 today on cow top.
