Devils Lake, ND | 1) My HP tablet running Vista "dropped" my keyboard. It is an older, non-USP unit that I use a USB adapter for. I have used it this way for over a year with no trouble. I rearranged my office, unhooking and moving my USB hub and now it doesn't work. I tried it hooked into the hub and directly into one of my tablet's USB outlets and no go.
It asks me for a driver when I hook it up. I went online looking for one and it looks like this thing doesn't use a driver. I could just go buy a new USB-style keyboard, but I like this keyboard.
What next?
2) When I shut down my tablet, it tries to install some Windows updates, but it never does. It doesn't lock up but just keeps working. I let it go overnight and never installed the update.
TIA
I ran the "scannonce" command three times and got this:
"Verification 36% complete"
"Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation"
and then a popup that says:
"Windows Modules Installer stopped working and closed"
Do I need to bite the bullet and reinstall Windows from my CD's?
I am having trouble getting my new HP printer/fax/scanner to install. I am thinking this is the cause of that as well.
