Farmington IL | We are making some changes and expanding the cow herd and that means we have to make changes on the other end as well. We havent chopped silage untill now. It will just take to much hay this winter so we are going to have a couple bags of silage filled and we will use it for the cows and calves. They do have shelter here in the feedlot. We had been feeding partially inside but are running out of space and going in and out of the lots just wasnt working for us. My great great grandad started this farm in 1882, I'm just trying to do my best to keep it going. | |
