Just stack the bales and use them to form the pile and make it a little safer for the pile pusher. Have it so the butts of the bales are in towards the pile and then the second bale goes on top and i lean it in a little so it won't push out as easy. Take the bales down or plan on tubgrinding them because they'll become moldy from the moisture.
ever built a silage pit from rnd bales?
