Subject: Re: manuals for taking apart a laptop

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
I'm HP warranty authorized to replace parts in laptops, and I haven't seen anything from HP on how to disassemble specific models. If the information isn't available to me, it probably isn't available to the general public either, at least from the manufacturer. As cri said, Google is a great tool. Basically you just keep removing screws until you get at the part you want, and don't forget where they all go. The plastic around the screen hinges can be tricky. Usually need a couple tiny flat screwdrivers to pop that apart.
