from what I understand of the Trimble system is, in your situation, owning your own base maybe your best bet. I think it will fire thru trees to a point maybe a mile???or 3???. your best bet is find your local dealer, tell them your thinking of dumping 25K plus on their equipment and you want to have them set up a base on one of your fields, then drive around the field (called radio survey) to see how it would actually fit your operation... atleast that's what I would do. make sure the equipment will live up to it's price AND your expectations. and if it does they get a big sale! Methinks a couple fingers of trees on 100 acres shouldn't be a problem especially if you strategically place your base station, like on the north edge of the field you showed us? even dense georgia conifers. someone please tell me otherwise.
