Why cut rates? Not everyone is a borrower. Some people actually put money into CD's.
I agree CD's are finality having some return. At my age and many others we can't invest in risky investment. I strongly remember people who had investments in 2008 when they were ready to retire and got wiped out with no time to recover. As usual there will be winners and losers.
