The head is going to be in your calculation IMHO.
Years ago I used a small trash pump, that had around 110 GPM at zero (or almost zero) head. When I put 300' of hose on it, with a 20-25' head, it was down to about 750 GPH (12.5 GPM).
Nice thing about the trash pump, was I learned about how much gas to put in, so tank I was filling would be full and have it run out of gas.
