North Central Kansas | We sorted off the low end of our heifers and sold them. Then we had everything breeding soundness checked and we kept 20 of the top ai sired heifers. We sold the other 72. We got $1950 for the ai sired heifers and $1800 for the bull breds. They were really nice heifers.
We have been in a building phase since 2020. We had been buying open Sandhills origin red open heifers. This year was our first home raised replacement heifers. Doing 30 heifers is a lot easier than doing 100 like the years before. | |
