Virginia
From my experience I've figured dry broiler litter out of storage sheds @ 30#/cu ft. or maybe just a little bit more. The truck we hauled with had a 20' bed with 56" sides and it wasn't mounded up over 12" since we were hauling about 35 miles and the load needed to be tarped. The first 10-12 loads were weighed and averaged around 12 tons or less. We could never get anywhere close to 15 tons on a load which would equal around 40#/cu.ft.

Now I'm not sure if this was built up litter or not but am pretty sure it wasn't. Wouldn't built up litter be a bit denser?

There is one thing for certain--it needs to be run across scales to be sure.
