Most tractors I have worked with have had the ECU mounted ahead of the rear axle. By placing the unit behind the axle, you are measuring yaw behind the control point. Moving it ahead of the axle may help your situation.
You shouldn't have to recal the tilt when you change the min output values on turn sensitivity. Also, you don't need to have GPS to cal the tilt.
