Subject: Ag Leader sytem versus Trimble

Illinois
I am deciding on which row-clutch system to use and am basing my decision on not only the row-clutch design but also on the two company's additional offerings, such as steering. Ag Leader's system with an Integra display will cost about the same as Trimble's with the EZ Guide 500 display. I believe the Integra is more advanced and maybe equal to the Trimble FMX but not sure. Using Ag Leader's Edge display would shave about $2000 from the price and thus put Ag Leader's full row-clutch set-up that much cheaper than Trimble.

I like the idea of Ag Leader's electric clutches versus Trimble's air clutches but both are probably okay. I know the air clutches are well-proven while the Ag Leader design is newer.

What I am most interested in are the steering systems for later add-on. The EZ Steer system by Trimble seems kind of awkward versus whatever Ag Leader calls their basic entry-level system. Both are priced about the same.

Any comments on any of this? I need to make a decision ASAP. I have excellent dealer support for either system.
