Here are some pics I took today of a new bauer built frame when I was in Harlan Iowa buying a different planter. Thought some of you might like to see the pictures.  I didnt realize they were teamed up with deere on planter frames. Looks to me like they would probably build a frame for anybody perhaps? Could put whatever row units on it you wanted?  I really like the hose holder that you could hang the hydraulic hose ends on. Id buy some of them if they would sell them.

That hydraulic hose holder is on alot of new implements now. I'm sure if they wouldn't sell you one someone else would.

The Bauer Bar at Sorensen Equipment is going to be a strip till bar. Sorensen Eq is a dealer for Soil Warrior Strip Till.

Deere keeps pretty close control on what happens to new Bauer Bars. They want them to all be made into Deere planters.
But you can buy one without planter units, if it is to be made into a strip till machine.

Deere does not even want people to use Bauer Bars for a Deere unit 24 row 30" planter, DB60. They want you to buy a completly Deere made 1770.

The only legal way in Deere's eyes to use a new Bauer Bar with some other brand of planter units is to buy a new Deere planter based on a Bauer Bar. Remove the Deere planter stuff, and replace it with your brand of choice. $$$$$$$$

I took the below pictures in November.
Sorensen is always a good 'Looking at Machinery' trip.

I ended up getting a 12/23 Kinze 2600. The best thing of it is I dont even have to go to Harlan to bring it home. Its still setting at previous owners place and it's a reasonable driving distance from home with a tractor. Dont think I want to pull that machine home with a pickup.
