Subject: Header trailer and stalk stompers ?

Findlay, Ohio
Going to a 12 row corn head, we run stompers on every row, is their a header trailer that we do not have to drop the stompers to put the header on the trailer?

ive got a 612 stalkmaster, ndy stompers, and a j&m cart. i have to take off 2 but usually take off 3 total to make things easier. i heard of guys mounting the two under feederhouse on the feederhouse so they dont have to be changed either, but never tried it

It would maybe take some modification, possibly alot, to make it work. We have them on our 8 row and it would not work.

We have a Deere 612c with lankota stompers that a friend designed to fold up. They are in 3 - 4 row sections and pivot up at a 90% angle for transport. No problem on a head trailer.

we just bought a older stud king trailer that will allow the stalk stompers to remain on.dealer told us that stud king was going to resurrect something very similar to the trailer we bought because of the stalk stomper issue.

No experience with that specific trailer but have gotten other things from him. I think he builds quality products, has been great to work with as far as we are concerned.

We always went directly to him, in fact a dealer gave us his number said he had what we were looking for. Seemed to be a nice guy who took pride in what he built.

Lankota makes stalk stompers that fold so you can flip the ones up that need to clear the tandems on a head trailer. The problem then becomes the ones under the feederhouse. Those two might have to come off to unhook.

Ndy stompers do not have to be removed on any of the tri cycle style header carts whether it is maurer ,J + M , e-z trail , or etc
On the running gear style just the two over the tongue need to be removed
Check out their website

Lankota has the solution to these issues. Between the new Generation II Stalk Stomper design and manual flip-up mount, no Stalk Stomper removal is needed for header cart transport. Check out Lankota's website, Lankota's videos on youtube, or call Jake at 866-526-5682

Those would never clear the fenders on a highway trailer.
