North Dakota | If the seedbed looked like that here our visibility would not be very good. Wow that is worked up fine!

Netherlands | Yes we first plow here in the Netherlands than in the winter forze the argil after the winter the ground is little fine round, in the first weeks of March than we do as usual 2 times seedbed prepetation. This is for the best result! Always (if you can) plow your ground! or spading your ground, but here in the Netherlands Plow the ground and spading the rounds for the best result in harvesting.

I agree with Digger. If I had ground worked like that it would all be in the neighbors field before the end of the week. Always amazes me how European countries are so big on environmental regulations and at the same time a majority of farms still moldboard plow everything and work it to a easily blowing powder. Maybe I'm wrong, just what I have gathered from what I have seen. Edited by J,ReinkeFarms 4/25/2013 15:49

in europe they don't deal with soil drift as much in the southern part where they work their land fine for rowcropping. we never had problems with blowing soil out there. We had some steketee equipment but you wouldnt be able to use those things here, well maybe to dry out the soil that be it.

Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan | Doesn't look like this tool would be able to go through much trash. Trash like wheat stubble and corn stalks. Would this tool be able to work through the trash of a field of corn or wheat, chisel plowed the fall before? We use a disc-chisel-disc tool in the fall. It leaves the field fairly level. So we wouldn't have much in the way of ridges that would need to be leveled. But with the close spacing of the shanks on that tool, I worry that it would plug up with stalks and/or straw. Thanks for your reply. gordon

Guymon, OK | I'm not trying to criticize or anything, but what's the point of using that tool on a field that's already very smooth (no clods), free of residue, and has no weeds growing? To me, the ground looks fit to plant without another tillage pass.
