Nwmo | I had posted earlier before harvest about the 9600 puffing black smoke while running half throttle or wide open under no or little load, and cutting out everytime it puffed. While also showing codes E39 and E44 which are primary and secondary speed sensor codes. After talking to all of you and some diesel repair guys it sounds like the Injector pump is need of being rebuilt. Most say its a bearing in the pump going out.
I plan on taking it off tomorrow and having it rebuilt and wondered how hard it is to get the bosch p type injector pumps off and back on the engine. I have never done this before, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
