My wife and I have been waiting for grandchildren for years.    One son has been married for almost 8 years and daughter has been married for going on 7 years.   No one seemed to be in a hurry to start a family and we were even starting to wonder if it would ever happen.   

We found out at Christmas we're going to finally be grandparents, daughter is due July 22 and daughter in law is due July 23.   It is almost comical how the dates got so close, but at any rate, we're ecstatic about it.   I guess good things do come to those who wait.   First grandchild not only for us, but also son in law's family and daughter in laws side.
