Without naming names, we took corn to a rail terminal for a few days, and when we saw the damage they were claiming, switched to a river terminal with a bid for a few cents less. To the load, from the same bin, damage went from 7-12% to 1.7-4.7%.
To be honest, this is the first time it has happened, but this all came out of the same bin within a week. And yes, we should have asked a sample to be graded by the state before it got too late.
