Subject: TIME GOES BY

SE Wis
I'm not a maintenance guru but I try to do the right thing. This morning I went out to the shed, opened the door and started a Gehl skid loader that I bought new in 1990.

I haven't used it in quite awhile but she turned a few times and lit right up. I wanted to get the fluids up to temperature so I sat in the seat to make sure she didn't creep out the door.

Funny thing, the smoke and vibration kinda took me back. I thought about the loads and the cold, the time we were pulling a fence post and the chain came off and she went over on her ass end. I thought about how much stronger I was back in '90 and how we got through the drought of '88.

I remembered seeing my boy sitting in this same seat before we lost him. I sort of got lost in the past. A few times I had my hand on the key to shut her down but I knew that when I did, it would be..................well, today.
