Subject: STEERS SPLASHING WATER!!! HELP!

Central MN
New steer barn put up in August 216x120 we will house 500 animals at full capacity. we have 4, 12 ft waters on 6 pens. Each pen gets 8ft. In our barn we have 72x 50 pens with 36ft of bed pack 14 ft of feed lane with a 8 in curb to retain water from the bed pack they are ritchie waterers and with float extensions cant keep the water low enough that they arent splashing it all on the ground. Where they eat if I clean it once a week it looks like a lake from splashing with there tounges. Anyone have any remedies? I dont have a shortage of bedding so that is an option i just would prefer to not use any because that isnt the way it was designed.
