It is a cool, damp evening here but the grass is growing like crazy. So are those "dinky little 70 lb calves out of calving ease bulls". It is amazing how some cows are so focused on their calves that they will not even leave the calf to come to the bunk for a sweet feed treat. These phone pics are a bit fuzzy due to the low light as it was getting dark.

They will be on this calving pasture for another week or two then start rotation through the regular pastures.  They have this one sacrifice pasture eaten down but will go over to the good hay a few yards away only as a last resort.  With the near freezing temps over the next couple evenings I thought I give them a couple buckets of treat grain.  The evening grain will hopefully also move along the 2nd calvers that haven't calved yet.
