Subject: What to do with a 1000 lbs. black steer

Western WY
I am taking a stock trailer load of 800 lbs. Holstein steers to auction. I have this single black Angus steer that I have hanging around that I figured I would just take and sell as a single. I guessed he was around 800 lbs. by looking at him in the lot, but when I got him on the scale I realized he actually weighs 1040. (I'm not good at guessing beef breeds.) Am I going to get killed on price considering he is so big and a single? Thought about selling him locally as freezer beef. I know I'll catch it for saying, but I don't want to eat him myself. I'd rather have Holstein.

Should I try my luck at the auction? Or keep him?
