Western Oregon | I have had my Ontrac 3 and 1200 for over a year and all of a sudden I get the message : "operator turning steering wheel" and then it disengages. It's installed in a locally built sprayer. My dealer came out and updated all the software, it didn't help. He then replaced the steering unit and it helped a little. It will stay engaged if i'm right on the line, sometimes stay on till the end of the field, and sometime quit after 30 feet. I have tried setting the manual steering override all the way from min. to max, no difference. I have tried line acquisition settings from 5 to 10 and steering response the same 5 to 10. It used to work great in the 5 to 8 range depending on my speed. If i'm more than a few feet from the line it kicks once and then shows the error. It will not even attempt to try again unless I turn off the steering motor and then on again. Steering wheel turns with just one finger, seems to be no different than a year ago. What else can I try ? | |
