Subject: Oats on end rows for early erosion control?

Beresford SD
We notil corn/bean rotation on rolling Loess hills in SE South Dakota. I will have end rows going up and down steep hills on some fields that still will gully with heavy rain events. I am thinking of going out early as possible sowing oats with notil Great Plains drill in those steep end rows. I am hopping I will get some early growth before May and June heavier rain events. I will kill oats before corn canopy.
Any one done this ?
