SW MN | I've got a group of 900 lb. mostly heifers thats on a 56 mcal ration,
5.86 lbs. alfalfa haylage
6 lbs. corn gluten
9.9 lbs dry corn
1.71 lbs. grass hay
.5 lbs bovitech/ MGA
lost 2, trocar in 2 more, tubing another every couple days.
i added the grass hay a week ago dropped the gluten by 1/3, got them on sodium bicarb and probiotic currently and lost the second one today. They started bloating about the time i switched to the 56 mcal, which was a big jump in gluten, I also opened a new haylage pile at that same time, very little mold in the haylage and its a little on the dry side. Could bovitech be the cause? switched from rumensin a couple years ago and had problems last year as well. | |
