For any of you guys that rotational graze just curious what your stocking capacities are and how you fertilize?
I'm located in central Missouri and started renting my wife grandparents farm this past year. There's 325 acres of pasture set up in 17 different paddocks. My grandfather in law has always just ran 100 cows and their calves and spreads a little 10-10-10 in August on about 3 of the paddocks to stock pile. He says he doesn't like to spread much more or it will kill the clover.....Seems from what I read on rotational grazing that this place should be able to stock quite a few more cattle. Just thought I'd pick your alls brains on what you do and how you would go about building a place like this up to capacity.? Thanks in advance
