Subject: Foam marker tank leaking. What did i do wrong?

North Central Alabama
I know this is not a Pro foam marker site. But I need help[.I bought this foam marker new and always supported it on my sprayer.I bolted the 15 gallon tank down with the 4- 5/16" bolts.I was also always careful not to use too long bolts because I knew I could crack it if I did.I bolted it down and also used 2-1" wide straps across the top of the tank as shown in pics.
Now the tank is leaking where the bolts go in bottom of tank.I am going to try to fix it from the inside but I don't have much hope.Should I have never used the threaded fasteners in the bottom?Should I have just straped it down and not used 5/16" bolts in bottom?
