West Tennessee | I bought an 8420 tractor that has a starfire 3000 and brown box with autotrac installed. It does have the autotrac steering valve. I'm moving a 2600 with autotrac into the tractor from my combine to use for planting (will move back to combine in the fall). The tractor does not currently have an autotrac resume button on the console. The slot is just covered with a black blank cover. I can only assume that the previous owner (no way to contact) was pushing a button on the brown box to resume the autotrac. I'd like to have a resume button on the console for convenience. Is this as simple as buying a button and plugging into an existing harness? Would I have to activate it some way in the control unit? How would I know if the harness is there or not? Sorry this is all very new to me. Been running EZ Steers and EZ Guide 500's for a while now. Any help is appreciated. | |
