scin | We have a 4430 tractor quad range that sometimes pops out of gear going downhill in road gear. It never has done that in the field. It seems like it only does it when you first start over a hill when it isn't pulling or holding back. If I hold my hand on the shifter lever with very little force it stays in gear. I'm thinking the linkages in the side console are wore out, because the levers kind of flop around, and I tried to get the plastic cover off by taking out the 3 screws along the side, and I couldn't get it to budge. Am I missing something? Do I just need to man-handle it a little more? The parts book only shows those screws. Also, is there anything else I should check? Thank you. | |
